Young people today face rising anxiety and mental health challenges. They are also more uniquely gifted and well-adapted to the technological world we now live in. Yet, as future leaders or simply honest citizens, we need them to possess the tangible and intangible skills connected to self-awareness, speaking their truth, acting with integrity, and caring for others.
I work with them and their parents to cultivate all of these qualities in alignment with their abilities, areas for improvement, and individual goals. In order to avoid any unnecessary adult crises or mid-life struggles, why don’t we get them ahead now by giving them the tools that many adults sadly never received?
Rate/Setup:
I prefer a three month commitment either once per week or twice per month to give us the time to get to know each other, see benefits, and realize our goals. Sessions can be in-person (in Maine) and virtual via Zoom or Google Meet.
Rates start at $75/hr. for first three months and usually increase after that for the following month (s) as we deepen the practice and results become more visible, but I am most always willing to work with parents financially to meet their budgets.
Testimonials from students and parents:
“Jonathan worked with my 11 year old son during the Covid-19 lockdown to help him deal with his emerging anxiety related to isolation and coping with the unknown. Jonathan’s wisdom, calm and reassuring communication style and techniques helped him emerge from the lockdown medication-free, more insightful, and independently using different self-soothing approaches to manage stress or anxiety.” - Caroline, Durham, North Carolina.
“I have benefitted in many ways. I’ve learned more about the mind and how to use it to benefit my well-being when it comes to stress and overwhelming feelings. I’ve learned more about my emotions and how to handle them. I’ve learned techniques to calm the mind and connect more deeply with the physical body. Finally I’ve learned more about myself and how I can help others.” Haydyn, 15, Raleigh- Durham, NC
“Jonathan taught me a number of mindfulness techniques to deal with school stress and my own anxiety.” Tiago, 11, Madrid, Spain.
